Very little information is being released by East Algoma OPP in Elliot Lake involving a domestic incident. What we know is a 47-year-old man from Sudbury faces several charges including overcoming resistance by attempting to choke. The accused is also charged with assault, disarming a peace officer and assaulting a peace officer. In an unrelated incident, a 28-year-old Elliot Lake woman is charged with uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm and also with carrying a concealed weapon. East Algoma OPP laid the charges after the woman confronted another person in a home. The 28-year-old is also looking at charges of public mischief and drug possession.
