East Algoma OPP is joining detachments throughout the province in taking part in the annual Festive Ride Program.
OPP Constable Phil Young says they will be launching the program this Friday and it will run through until January 2nd, 2022.
He says the Festive RIDE is one of the most effective ways to remove impaired drivers from the roadway by stopping and checking motorists at enforcement checkpoints.
Young adds OPP will be enforcing the Mandatory Alcohol Screening laws during the holiday season.
