Espanola is among a handful of communities chosen to create a mural commemorating Canada`s 150th birthday in just two years. The project will involve hundreds of volunteers of all ages and skill levels who have a chance to showcase the paper town`s rich history. When complete, the mural will be eight feet by eight feet. It will join 149 other murals from other towns and cities across the country. For information on how to get involved, call Cheryl Kennelly at 869-1961, extension 2212.
