Study finds high energy costs hurting the north

In Northern Ontario, 91 percent of residents believe their spending power is being reduced because of soaring electricity costs.  The same number believes the high cost of electricity will also hurt Ontario`s economy.  The study has prompted the Timmins chamber of commerce to urge the Ontario Liberals to adopt recommendations to lower costs.  Those recommendations are from the Ontario chamber of commerce and include not replacing nuclear power with electricity bought from Quebec.
