By now some sea cadets from Espanola are learning more about marksmanship and sailing at various training centres in the country. Eleven cadets from Corps 357 Hero are in Ottawa, Borden, Kingston or B.C. They`re training on actual naval vessels over the summer. The summer exercises come on the heels of the annual review where several proficiency, sailing, team and volunteer awards were given out. The awards ceremony included recognizing the most outstanding cadet who this year is master seaman Blaise Gravelle. In addition, able seaman Kyle Preuss received the First Year Proficiency Award.  The annual review also featured drill and band routines.
