Some area students to attend community Remembrance Day Ceremonies

It has been two years since Legions have been able to host Remembrance Day Ceremonies at local schools, but this year, students will come to them.

Local legions on Manitoulin Island and across the North are hosting full parades and ceremonies this year now that some COVID-19 restrictions have been lifted.

According to the Rainbow District School Board, schools are still off-limits so some students such as those attending AB Ellis Public and Espanola High will be let out of school tomorrow to attend community ceremonies.

Other students will hold minutes of silence at in-school ceremonies and flags will also fly at half-mast at Rainbow Schools in Sudbury, Espanola and Manitoulin Island tomorrow.
