French public board implements inclusive policy to combat systemic racism

The Conseil scolaire public du Grand Nord de l’Ontario is introducing an inclusive policy to combat racism as part of this week’s National Francophone Immigration Week celebrations.

Board communications director Carole Dube says the board is committing to promoting an inclusive environment based on the celebration of diversity.

She says a guide has been posted online to ensure employment equity, which focuses on strategies for teaching and classroom management.

Dube adds École secondaire Macdonald-Cartier has created a video to unite all ethnic and racial communities which is also available online and distributed to their schools including those located in Elliot Lake and Blind River.
