Massey Legion reopens – Remembrance Day ceremonies

The Massey branch of the Royal Canadian Legion has officially reopened its doors.

Branch 432 opened its doors yesterday after being closed for an extended period due to COVID-19.

According to the release, proof of vaccination must be provided to access the facility.

There are plans to host TV Bingo on Wednesday evenings and pool will start on Thursday.

The branch will host Remembrance Day Ceremonies at the Webbwood cenotaph on Wednesday morning at 11 am and the following day at the Massey branch on Thursday, also at 11:00 am.

Still with the story, Elliot Lake’s Legion Branch 561 will also host a Remembrance Day ceremony on Thursday with the public asked to arrive at 10:30 pm.

Participants will then march to the Cenotaph on Veteran’s Way for the formal ceremony.
