Bob Chiblow elected as Mississauga First Nation Chief

Mississauga First Nation has a new Gimaa now that its former chief has moved on to a regional position.

Mississauga First Nation council welcomed Bob (Robert A.) Chiblow as chief this month.

The election was held to fill the vacancy left by former Chief Reg Niganobe who was elected to Grand Council Chief of the Anishinabek Nation in June and stepped down in September.

Council congratulated both on their positions and look forward to continuing the work on and for the First Nation.

Chiblow says Meegwetch for the trust the Community has placed in him and will strive to foster relationships that will only benefit the community.
