NOJHL needs Elliot Lake council decision soon on proposed hockey team

Time is running for Elliot Lake to decide if it wants to ice a junior hockey team for next season.  City council has been debating whether to replace the Bobcats who are relocating to Cochrane for next season citing low fan turnout as one reason.  During a debate Monday night council deferred the issue after learning the Serpent River First Nation might want to partner with it to ice a team.  Council is expected to make a final decision later this month if it’s in or out because the NOJHL deadline for team participation is June 15th.
