Algoma-Manitoulin MPP Mike Mantha says it is not just this government that is responsible for the impasse between the Ontario government and optometrists.
He says he is well aware that it has been two months since eye tests were withdrawn, adding it is not only the Ford government’s fault, but the previous Liberal government that failed to negotiate a fair settlement with optometrists years ago.
He stresses they are doing all they can to move the talks forward between the two parties bringing the issue up in Queen’s Park on a daily basis.
He adds they will continue to push for the Ford government to end the impasse since it directly affects the health of so many Ontarians.
