The three main parties now have candidates in Algoma Manitoulin. Progressive Conservative hopeful Jib Turner of Little Current was the last to be nominated. He’s going up against incumbent New Democrat Mike Mantha and challenger Craig Hughson for the Liberals. At his nomination, Turner told supporters the Liberals will drive us further in debt while the NDP will drive business away with more taxes. Turner is hoping to turn the riding blue once again. Algoma Manitoulin hasn’t been Tory since the late John Lane retired as an MPP in 1985.
