The Liberal candidate who hopes to win Algoma Manitoulin says the current election is unnecessary. Craig Hughson says new Democrat incumbent Mike Mantha and his leader have turned their backs on Ontario voters. Hughson says by not supporting last week’s budget, the NDP are voting againt jobs and opportunity in the riding. In response, Mantha says the budget was a desperate attempt by the Liberals to distract voters from numerous Liberal scandals. Mantha says the Liberals have no plan to lower hydro rates, improve rural health care or create jobs.
