Cleanup slows down traffic along Highway 17

Motorists found it slow going through Nairn Centre throughout the day yesterday.
Highway 17 was slowed down to one lane around 10 am and lasted throughout most of the day.
The eastbound lane was closed at the Old Nairn Centre and Wabagishik (WAB-ah-gee-chic) Road to allow for the environmental cleanup following a collision late last week.
The Trans-Canada was closed for nearly eight hours last Thursday due to a collision involving a single car vehicle and a transport.
