This year’s regional CIBC Run for the Cure is deemed a success following both in-person and virtual events.
Sara Campbell, communications lead with Sudbury’s CIBC Run for the Cure, says the event held this weekend was “simply a great experience” having raised just under $30,000.
She says the organization had to adapt the event due to COVID-19 protocols, but all went well with participants respecting social distancing and masking.
Campbell adds online registration also played a big role in raising the funds with individuals running their own events in communities throughout the Sudbury and Manitoulin districts.
The funds will go towards ongoing breast cancer research.
