Weather agency looks at system bring plenty of snow

A special weather statement has been issued for Elliot Lake and surrounding areas.  Environment Canada says a developing weather system will track towards Ontario tomorrow with snow spreading into the southern parts of Northwestern Ontario tonight, then spreading through the night into the southern parts of Northeastern Ontario. The snowfall in Northeastern Ontario is expected to persist throughout the day tomorrow and possibly into Friday and could drop more than 15cm.  There may also be a transition to rain over southern sections, from about Sault Ste Marie through North Bay and southward on Thursday night, with a risk of freezing rain possible during the transition.  Snowfall warnings may be issued as the event draws nearer and confidence increases, most likely for regions in Northeastern Ontario.
