2021_09_27 The Rolling Stones honour Charlie Watts

The Rolling Stones are still making music, but it feels weird without Charlie Watts. Fortunately, you can hear him on the Stones’ new song.

They recorded this tune back for the “Tattoo You” album but never released it. Now they’re finally releasing it for the album’s 40th anniversary.
Hearing Watts’ drums is weird enough… but then you see him in the video. The entire video was dedicated to Watts. I’m not sure how, because it’s mainly a bunch of random people partying on an evening in France, but there is some archival footage of Watts hidden in there.
No matter what, it brings a smile to my face to have ‘new’ Charlie Watts tunes to listen to.

ANISHINAABEMOWIN WORD OF THE WEEK:
Mackenzie Jacobs from Serpent River First Nation joined us again for the word of the week. We’re continuing to learn how to sing “Head and Shoulders’ in Ojibwe, and today, we learned how to say [my] toe(s) – [ni]zidens(an).
