The Huron-Superior Catholic District School Board will be celebrating its annual Faith Day as a PD day for teachers.
Education director Rose Burton Spohn says this Friday will be a virtual experience with employees following the day’s program at their workplace or school.
She says following a morning prayer service, workshops focusing on anti-racism and antidiscrimination will take place, adding they are important issues that can have an effect on students’ learning experience.
She adds later in the day, staff will focus on the theme, Rebuild, Restore and Renew, by taking in video presentations by Dr. David Wells from his home in Devon, England.
Burton Spohn says the day will also see a Development & Peace collection taken to assist with the crisis in Haiti.
