Centennial of Spring Bay Monument

This weekend the centennial of an institution will be celebrated on Manitoulin Island.

The Spring Bay Monument is centralized to honour the veterans of various conflicts over the decades.

Originally dedicated as the Campbell-Carnarvon Monument back in 1921, it evolved to become the central gathering place.

It has grown to become the Manitoulin District Cenotaph and Veterans’ Memorial Gardens.
