The City of Elliot Lake might be looking for a new Manager of Economic Development soon.
City CAO Daniel Gagnon says as of yesterday afternoon Ashten Vlahovich is no longer employed with the municipality and no further details are available.
Gagnon says the Economic Development functions have been temporarily reassigned to other city staff. He adds a more in-depth review of the economic development and recreation areas is ongoing, which is taking into consideration the need to rebuild both operational areas as the pandemic impacts lessen.
Gagnon did not say if the city would be looking at a replacement.
