Hop on the quad for a good cause

The eighth annual Joe’s Quad Run is tomorrow. The event is in memory of Joel Austin of Nairn Centre. He passed away at a young age from a heart attack, and would have been celebrating his 55th birthday this week. Register for the ride at 9 AM at the Nairn Centre Rink. It’s 20-bucks per quad, and five per passenger.

The ride starts at 10, to the Fairbanks Lodge and back. Afterwards there is a BBQ and raffle table. All of the funds go to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. The event has raised over $5000 in the eight years it’s been run.
