Suspected rifle turns out to be a pellet gun

A Code Red was put in place yesterday afternoon at two Elliot Lake schools. OPP got a call about a man walking in the area of Bouck Road and Mississauga Avenue with what looked like a rifle.

Police put the Adult Education School and Elliot Lake Secondary School on lockdown while they investigated. They found the man in a couple of minutes, and found the rifle was actually a pellet. The Code Red was lifted, and there were no injuries.
