Elliot Lake’s meetings to discuss recreational options postponed due to thunderstorm

The City of Elliot Lake was all set to host its first virtual public town hall meeting Wednesday night, but the thunderstorm and subsequent loss of power led to its cancellation.
The city had set up its Internet to accommodate up to 300 viewers on Zoom to allow for a full discussion on various recreational projects under consideration.
As a result of the power outage, the meeting has now been rescheduled for 6:00 pm on August 18th.
And the in-person town hall meeting at the Collins Hall which was planned for last night has also been rescheduled to August 19th, also at 6:00 pm.
Up to 150 selected participants will be allowed to attend following COVID-19 protocols.
