Hospital co-CEOs express concerns about COVID on Manitoulin

The co-CEOs of the Manitoulin Health Centres on Manitoulin Island are asking for the public to diligently follow COVID-19 protocols with outbreaks occurring on Manitoulin.

Co-CEO Tim Vine says unfortunately, the Island currently has more active COVID-19 cases at one time than it had throughout the first three waves of the pandemic.

He adds the active cases are in various locations on Manitoulin and they expect more positives in the coming days.

Co-CEO Paula Fields adds they are also aware that the Delta variant has been identified on Manitoulin adding it is more infectious and is leading to increased transmission of COVID.
