Espanola council has granted a tender to upgrade equipment at a local playground with the work to be carried out by early fall.
Council is aware that as part of the 2017 Recreation Master Plan that all playground equipment in town has exceeded its life cycle and should be replaced.
Council received five tenders to replace equipment at Pine Grove Park Playground and has granted the tender to ABC Recreation to provide new equipment with a 25-year life cycle.
Public Works will work with the company to finalize the design with installation to take place by late September.
It is just one of several playground upgrades council is looking at over the next couple of years.
