Espanola Public Works and Belanger Construction are on schedule for the replacement of the Black Creek Bridge on Penage Lake Road.
Tuesday was spent removing the old structure and clearing the water for insertion of a prefabricated system yesterday.
Today the work will focus on stabilizing the system and fortifying the structure.
The bridge is to reopen tomorrow morning to provide access to residents and cottagers living in the lake area.
It is one of Espanola’s major construction projects for 2021 and is expected to provide at least two decades of safe access.
