Slow recovery expected for Whitefish Falls business owner

A well-known Whitefish Falls woman remains in a medically induced coma following an auto collision last Tuesday.
Larissa Moffatt, the owner of the Red Dog Grill in Whitefish Falls, was enjoying a day in Mindemoya when her car collided with a pickup truck at the intersection of highways 551 and 542.
According to her family, she was placed in a medically induced coma to help keep her stable at Health Sciences North in Sudbury with the doctors being cautiously optimistic that she could make a full recovery but it’s too early to determine anything at this point.
Her partner, Philip Eadie, says thank you to the public for the outpouring of support to help the family while Larissa recovers with a Go Fund Me having raised nearly $38,000.
He adds the restaurant will remain closed indefinitely.
