NDP urging liberals to reverse CRB cuts

Algoma Manitoulin Kapuskasing MP Carol Hughes says Canadians need a government that is ready and willing to support them when they need it, not make cuts to CRB supports.

The federal government cut the CRB benefit by $800 a month over the weekend.

Hughes says it has left Canadians struggling to pay their bills.

NDP Leader, Jagmeet Singh, says $1,200 a month is not nearly enough to live off of, and the cut will have an effect on millions and force them between putting food on the table or paying bills.

The NDP is urging the government to reverse the cuts.
