The Algoma District School Board has balanced its budget for the next school year. It did that by dipping into its reserve fund to the tune of $1.6 million. The removal still leaves the board with $10.4 million in reserves. Overall the board has approved a budget of $145.9 million. The money includes spending to improve school buildings, upgrades to information technology, hiring vice-principals and continuing with the Early Learning Kindergarten program.
