Brought to you by the Anishinaabe Initiatives Team at Algoma University
Anishinaabemowin Word of the Week is a feature started by Moose FM’s Graeme Thomson, to give a voice and a platform to the Ojibwe peoples.
Graeme has teamed up with Language Facilitator Mackenzie Jacobs from Serpent River First Nations, to celebrate Indigenous People’s Month by highlighting a language. This language was once forbidden to speak, and Mackenzie and Graeme want to bring back a voice to these peoples and their language.
Join Mackenzie and Graeme each Monday Morning at 9:20 for the Anishinaabemowin Word of the Week!
If you have missed any of our Word of the Week, don’t worry!
We upload each word as we air them!
