A Wiikwemkoong man ran for the lost Indigenous children over the holiday weekend.
Michael Mj Eshkawkogan started his run last Friday from Wiikwemkoong and arrived in Spanish at the former residential school site on Sunday.
Roughly 147 kilometres, he began with a run, but ended biking the rest of the way due to a problem with his foot.
He says his run was in respect for the children found and yet to be found in unmarked graves at residential school sites in Canada.
