Of the two, one individual is in intensive care.

Algoma Public Health has had no new cases in the last three days.

Considering resolved cases, there are four active cases in the district.

The one individual in hospital is not from the district, but is receiving treatment locally.

Ontario added just under 400 new COVID-19 cases yesterday (Wednesday).

The province added 384 cases.

There were more recoveries than new cases reported with the recovery rate steady at 97 per cent.

Fishing and parks reopen this weekend

Here are a couple of free ideas to celebrate Father’s Day this weekend.

Families can go fishing on Saturday and Sunday without having to buy a license or carry an Outdoors Card on the province’s dime.

Ontario is also offering free day-use permits at over 100 provincial parks on Sunday.

They’re asking you to book a daily vehicle permit before you go to seventeen select popular provincial parks.

If you are going to fish for free or head out to one of the parks, the province reminds you to remember under Step One of the Roadmap to Reopen outdoor gatherings are capped at ten people.

Renewed travel services

If you are itching to travel, Air Transat will be flying to the sunny south by November 1st.

The airline says it will travel to 50 destinations in the Caribbean, Mexico, Central and South America, the US, and Europe.

When Ottawa asked for an end to travel to the Caribbean and Mexico in January and announced new quarantine plans for travellers, Air Transat suspended its flights.
