The Town of Espanola has a new head of staff.
Espanola Mayor Jill Beer says Allan Hewitt who hails from Newfoundland will be the town’s new CAO, treasurer.
Beer says he has experience at Fleming College in Peterborough as well as managing the Durham Regional Health Department for 15 years in corporate services.
Beer says he will start work on July 5th.
Mayor Beer also shares that Espanola will have a new clerk-manager of planning services.
Joseph Burke, originally from Sables-Spanish and Espanola, has seven years of experience in education and government relations.
She adds Burke will start his new position on June 21st.
The positions were left vacant following the resignations of the former staffers
