The eastern portion of Manitoulin Island will be without power due to a planned outage.
Hydro One spokesperson Alicia Sayers says the utility is upgrading equipment so the planned retrofit will take place between eight am to 12 noon this Sunday.
Sayers says the outage only affects the eastern portion of Manitoulin Island from South Baymouth North to Little Current, and the outskirts of Big Lake East to Wiikwemkoong Unceded Territory.
Sayer says crews will perform scheduled maintenance and complete upgrades including replacing five poles and associated equipment along with some forestry maintenance.
