When it comes to telemedicine technology, the Local Health Integration Network for the North East is among the leaders. And to recognize wide use of the technology, the CEO of the LHIN, Louise Paquette, is getting the Champions of Telemedicine award. Paquette was one of the main drivers to get more northerners to embrace telemedicine technology. A component of that technology provides homecare advice meaning people don’t have to visit a hospital E-R unnecessarily.
