Elliot Lake residents and visitors will spot bright colours at various locations throughout the city as part of the ongoing banner project.
Linda Finn, a local artist, says this is the second year that bright coloured banners designed by local artists will be hung from posts throughout the city.
She adds as part of helping coordinate the project, 36 artists of all ages helped design 41 new banners for this year from a pool of 100 submitted designs.
City museum director Amelia D’Amato says the city supported the project by providing $3,600 in funding, adding last year 37 banners are also hung mostly along Highway 108.
D’Amato adds this year the new banners will be hung in the downtown core under the slogan ‘Our Town’.
