Several projects along the North Shore corridor and Manitoulin Island will see improvements thanks to grant funding from FedNor.
The Federal Economic Development Initiative for Northern Ontario grant of $473,000 will go to several projects in Blind River and two on Manitoulin Island.
Blind River will receive $155,000 to go towards revitalizing the downtown including the marina along the main highway.
Dawson Citizen’s Improvement Association is receiving just over $254,000 to go towards improvements at the Meldrum Bay Marina.

And Manitoulin Island Cycling Advocates will receive just over $62,000 to go towards improving recycling on Manitoulin Island.
The projects will all be completed this summer.
