Getting ready for school in the fall

Summer is not even officially here yet but school boards in all three local districts are preparing for school in the fall.

one Elliot Lake school is looking forward to meeting their newest and youngest students.

Parents and their children going into Kindergarten can get a sneak peek at what the first year of school will look like with Elliot Lake’s Our Lady of Lourdes French Immersion School hosting a Welcome to Kindergarten 2021 virtual presentation next week.

Lourdes vice-principal Nadia Zanatta says the virtual presentation if for those who have already registered their children or considering the move.

She adds even though it is being held virtually, parents will get a tour of the school and meet many of the staff during the presentation.

Zanatta says parents are being asked to register for the virtual tour, which will be held next Thursday at 6:30 p.m.

Parents can call 705-848-3421 or email [email protected] with any questions about the event.
