About 100 people at the Lockerby Mine in Sudbury could lose their jobs. Low nickel prices are forcing First Nickel to re-think the operation. Lockerby will now only mine ore above the 6,800 foot level and that process is expected to take only a few months. After that, First Nickel will decide to either put the mine in a care and maintenance mode or shut it down.
