Work continues behind the scenes towards reinstating Northern Passenger Rail service.
Ontario Northland President and CEO Corina Moore says reinstating northern passenger rail has been a personal goal of hers for a long time.
Moore gave the wide-ranging report on various ONTC services at the Federation of Northern Ontario Municipalities annual general meeting this week.
She adds the company will be working with Metrolinx and the Ministry of Transportation to update the initial business case and provide an implementation plan.
She says they already have a good idea of what the service needs with scheduling.
