The Ontario Law Enforcement Torch Run arrives in Espanola on Thursday, and when it does, organizers are getting a big cheque. Locally, law enforcement is getting a $27,000 cheque thanks to 500 people taking part in last month’s Boogie Rush. The Flame of Hope is carried by various law enforcement agencies from across Ontario. They raise money for Special Olympics and the torch arrives at the Town Hall at 11:00 a.m. Thursday. The torch gets into Espanola after stopping in Mindemoya earlier in the morning.
