Last month, the Sables-Spanish Rivers council heard about a new initiative, the Green and Inclusive Community Buildings Program.
Following the presentation, staff compiled a list of possible sites that may qualify for funding and retrofit.
Town Clerk Kim Sloss pointed out in the report that the application is quite comprehensive so with going ahead the council will have to consider the initial study and consulting fees to move forward on the application.
Council members talked about various buildings at its last meeting and have settled on focusing on the Massey Medical Clinic.
Council has agreed to put out a request for proposals to consulting engineers, which is to be reviewed at the June 9th meeting.
