Manitoulin OPP investigating a hit and run

Manitoulin OPP is asking for the public’s help in response to a hit and run in the Manitowaning area.

OPP Constable Marie Ford says last Friday around 11:00 in the morning, officers responded to a single motor vehicle collision involving a pedestrian on Meredith Street in Manitowaning.
She says the vehicle did not stop and continued south on Highway 6. 

Ford says the police is looking for public assistance in identifying the vehicle, which is described as a black Sport Utility Vehicle that is missing its’ passenger side mirror and may have damage on the same side because of the collision.

She adds the pedestrian was transported to a hospital with minor injuries.
