Rainbow District School Board and the Ontario Public Service Employees Union Local 614 both have a new collective agreement.
The union represents approximately 280 Educational Assistants and Communicative Disorder Assistants in Rainbow Schools in full, part and casual positions.
In the joint statement, the union members voted 85.6% in favour of accepting the deal with board members ratifying it at their April meeting.
The contract is retroactive to September 1st, 2019 and expires August 31st of next year with the members receiving appropriate retroactive pay adjustments.
