ORNGE air ambulance workers vote in favour of strike

The union representing ORNGE air ambulance workers says their members have voted 94 percent in favour of a strike but only as a very last resort.

The staff has been without a contract since last July 31st.

They’ve been pushing for an exemption from the 2019 law that caps public sector salary increases at one percent a year.

ORNGE paramedics have been heavily involved in the transfer of COVID-19 patients around the province, in an effort to ease the load on overcrowded hospitals.
