Espanola is moving ahead with an OPP costing study to see if it’s worthwhile replacing the municipal force. The public will be kept in the loop throughout the process and will be asked for its opinion at several stages. The study could take several weeks or months to complete. When all is said and done council will hold a special vote and let voters decide if they want to go with the OPP or stay with the municipal force.
