If you’re looking for craft-related supplies then drop by the Massey Area Museum for a unique yard sale this weekend. The family of the late Winnifred Mooney is clearing out her former art studio and donating all the proceeds to the museum. Mooney studied weaving in Sweden during the 1940’s, then studied the fine arts in Banff before becoming an instructor in the Alberta town. Later she moved to Massey and taught art and craft classes from her studio and also held weaving workshops. Professionally, Mooney was the librarian and art teacher at A.B. Ellis in Espanola for many years. The yard sale features antiques, craft supplies and books. It takes place this Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Massey Area Museum and all proceeds go to the museum.
