You could see your cell phone charges start to drop after the federal broadcast regulator opened up the industry to more competition.
The CRTC has decided to allow smaller companies access to the national cell phone transmission networks at wholesale prices allowing them to expand across the country.
The three major mobile phone companies had opposed the move, saying the smaller firms would be allowed access to their networks without paying for the costs of putting the network together.
