Blind River new school has a new principal

Conseil scolaire public du Grand Nord de l’Ontario has appointed a new principal for its joint-use school in Blind River.

Grand Nord board communications director Carol Dube says Hélène Rancourt officially took on the new position yesterday.

She says Rancourt holds a bachelor’s degree with honours in French and English from Laurentian University with more than 15 years of teaching experience in French and English at intermediate and senior levels, as well as seven years of experience as a guidance lead teacher and school staff member.

Conseil scolaire public du Grand Nord de l’Ontario and Algoma District School Board will share the new facility.
