The Massey area is mourning the loss of its fire chief. Rodney Houle who commanded the Sables Spanish Rivers Fire Department died suddenly over the weekend. Houle was only 47. In addition to talking about fire safety, Houle was also a big volunteer on numerous fundraisers, was the municipality’s building inspector and checked hydro meters. A wake takes place Tuesday at the Massey Arena from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and then again from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. A mass will be held for Houle this Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at the Catholic Church in Massey.
